Open Day will be on the 28th of May, featuring half price classes! Drop me an email to give me an idea of numbers and pay on the door, no long term commitment. Come and see if you enjoy it!
Summer Term B will start on the 4th of June and run until the 9th of July – 6 week term.
Theatre Tots (2-5) – 10-10:45am – [£4 weekly, paid termly]
This class will be taking place in the slightly larger hall, which will give parents or guardians a chance to join with their little one if they so wish. It’s recommended that someone does join in the first few weeks to help aid the child’s learning and to settle into the class well. There will also be space to wait outside at the cafe, or in the waiting area. This class will be full of basic dance technique to help get your child moving and grooving to the music. I’ll be combining ballet and jazz to create this great combination class and get them ready for lots of different styles of dance, we’re not all ballet dancers! This class is aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 5. This may be broken down into two different aged classes if it proves to be popular in order to aid their correct developmental stages!
Westend Wonders (7+) – 4.30-5.15pm [£4.50 weekly, paid termly]
This after school class is for older students who wish to get into musical theatre and performing on stage. We’ll be covering songs from the musicals, script from film, as well as, dance from the stage. I’ll be aiming to encourage the next generation of triple threats (performers able to sing, dance, and act), by working with the students to improve their stage presences and musical talents. They’ll be games, exercises and routines in the jam-packed class. This is non-pressured environment where students will gain confidence, team-working ability, and technical stage knowledge. For any student in KS2 or above, to encourage cross-age co-operation. Recommended dance shoes for this class is black jazz shoes, however, there is no pressure to have your child wear these to every class, trainers, socks, or barefoot will also work for this class.
Contemporary Jazz Dance (7+)- 5.15-6.00pm – [£4.50 weekly, paid termly]
A class for dancers where we’ll be improving technique, learning new moves, and doing a routine or two. They’ll be slow dances and fast dances all using the contemporary Jazz technique used in all classes. Dancers do not need any experience to come to this class at all, just the commitment to learn and improve week upon week. We’ll also do a little bit of conditioning and strength work each week to help support some of the movements we’ll be developing each week. Recommend dance shoes for this class are foot thongs (little half socks that help the foot while turning), however barefoot or socks will also work for this class.
Our first week will be on the 28th of April and ALL CLASSES will be half price. Booking for next term will open on the day.
