Costume Parade 2024

Date: Afternoon of the 4th of May

Location: All Saints Church Hall

Why it’s important: This is the first chance each child has to try on their costumes, and make sure they’ve got all the bits they need in order to get on stage and perform. This is an exciting moment for them all. This will also provide a chance for you to take photos of them in the costumes, which you cannot do whilst they are on stage.

Each class will have 20-30 minutes in the transformed hall that will be our photo studio. I decided against hiring a professional photographer for this as I thought that many of you would prefer to take your own instead which will bring up a few extra rules during the time that they’re there on the day.

1.  No taking photos in the ‘dressing rooms’. These areas are for changing only.
2. Changing should only happen in the changing areas, girls and boys will be separated for this.
3. Only take photos in the specific areas for photos, these will be shown by a backdrop.
4. When taking group shots with others in, seek permission first.
5. Do not share any other children on social media without their parent’s consent.
6. Wait outside the hall until your child’s class is called to reduce crowding in the hall.
7. Classes with finale t-shirt on the schedule should bring their finale t-shirt to the day.

It should be a really nice afternoon for them all to get excited for the show the following week. We’ll have backdrops and props for them to have a little bit of fun using in their photos as well.

I have done my best to put those in multiple classes in the schedule together. I know a few are away for the afternoon on the 4th, they’ll get a chance to try on their costumes within the week preceding the show.
