Commencing September 2021

All classes will be over at All Saints Church Hall, just off of Exeter Road.

Saturday are for our little dancers. Acro for 2-3 year olds, followed by Acro for 4-5 year olds, and then our Stomping Street Dance class for 4-6’s. 🙌

Team work makes the dream work ✨ Junior Street have been getting more and more confident with their lift work that they’ll finally be able to show them off at Exmouth Festival! Together they can make each other fly over the roof tops (no crowdsurfing though, as we don’t want to lose any children!) 💚

We’ve been working on our performance at Exmouth Festival this half term, and I think most are excited to be able to show their families what they’ve been up to! Most routines are brand new however Senior Street wanted to bring back an old favourite from September so they can finally show off the tutting section that took weeks to learn 🙈

Our Frogglets and Dinos have been making TOE-AST (😉) this half term and whilst this exercise looks like it’s all a bit of fun here are some of the learning opportunities within it;

The results are in and we’ve got a 100% pass rate from our exam session on the 9th of April! I’ll be sending out individual notes with all the dancers with their makes so bear with me whilst I go through all 57 names 💚

Did you know…? That stretching isn’t just for those who are super flexible! Yes it’s vital for people wanting to get higher leg kicks and their splits BUT it’s also important for injury prevention. Every warm up we do includes some dynamic stretching to warm up the joints and muscles that assist in movement. ✨

Core Power 🙌 Our 7pm Acro class are working towards a new lift, we call it rectangles and squares 😉 It’s definitely one for those core muscles to help stabilise and support the movement. The lift was getting so much better this week by Exmouth Festival they’ll be able to do it with their eyes closed!

✨ Star of the Month ✨ This star of the month works incredibly hard all year round, but has done especially well last month learning all her exam work even with a few weeks off due to illness. They’re always listening and taking aboard feedback for not just her, but also others in the class which will help progress her dancing even further. Most often SW is a helpful base in our lifts so can be very hard to find a photo showcasing her talents, however watch out it’s her turn to be a flyer (lifted) at Exmouth Festival! 💚
